Pendant que certains prenaient un bon bain de soleil autour d'un barbecue, d'autres étaient partis soit en tournoi à Alençon soit en équipe CODEP à Quimperlé.
A Alençon, Steven jouait en Simple Hommes D1/D3 où, d'une poule de 3, il sort vainqueur après 2 victoires en 2 sets. En sortie de poule (1/4 de finale), il rentre très vite dans son match en gagnant 21/14 le 1er set mais, il connaît un gros coup de mou au second set qu'il doit laisser filer 14/21. Au 3e set, il n'arrive toujours pas à revenir dans le match puisqu'il est mené 15/6 ... MAIS soudainement, sursaut d'orgueil, il revient dans la partie en menant 20/17 ... et finit par gagner son match 22/20 !!! Quel mental!!!
En 1/2, par contre, ce fut une autre paire de manches car, du fait de ses bonnes performances du moment, son mal de dos réapparaît et donc son adversaire prend très vite le large et le gardera puisqu'il finira par gagner le tournoi !
Cela reste un bon bilan et pourvu que son dos s'en remette vite.
En Double Hommes D1/D3 associé à Jason (Lisieux), ils gagnent leurs 3 matchs de poule et se retrouvent auréolés du titre de Tête de Série n°1 qu'ils conservent durant le 1er set de la sortie de poule (1/2 finale) gagné sur un score digne d'un Ifois (21/19) mais ils perdent le 2d set 17/21 ainsi que le 3e 10/21 contre une paire Falaisienne.
Et eux pendant ce temps là ....
Quant à Anicet, il était parti participer à la phase de barrage de maintien Intercodep (Championnat de France Jeunes) avec le CODEP 14 (Comité Départemental) dont Yannick était l'un des encadrants.
Lors de la première rencontre, associé à Pierre (Caen), ils affrontent une paire du 56 classée D1/D2, mais malgré un bon match, ils s'inclinent (16/21-19/21). Dans la seconde rencontre, face à une paire du 29 classée A4/B4 , sans surprise, ils perdent le match mais ils peuvent se vanter d'avoir mis un ACE !!!
Enfin, lors de la troisième et dernière rencontre du week-end, ils affrontent une paire du 53 classée C4/C4 et, cerise sur le gâteau, ils gagnent en 2 sets (21/10-21/16) !!!
De ce fait, le CODEP14 parvient à se maintenir en gagnant 11/4 contre le 56, 9/6 contre le 29 et ... 15/0 contre le 53 !!!
